Ryan International and Jiva win Equiwings NCR Inter School Archery Championship
6th, New Delhi: Inter- School Archery Championship was organized by Equiwings Sports at Parevartan School, Ghaziabad on Sunday, to promote the sport among youth. The competition saw participation from over 100 students in Indian, Recurve and Compound categories.
Ryan International School, Noida were the Boys overall champions. While the Jiva Public School, Faridabad stole the show by getting away with two awards- Girls Overall Champions and their Boys team was the overall runner up. The Girls Runner-up Team was the Gyandeep Public School, Baghpat. The Most Disciplined Team Award went to Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar. Altogether, 130 medals were distributed at the event.
Other schools who had a major participation at the championship were Vidya Devi Jindal School Hissar, Jiva Public School Faridabad, Amity International School Noida, Ryan Internation School Ghaziabad, Gurukul School Ghaziabad, Amity School, Mayur Vihar, Gyandeep Academy Baghpat and Aggrawal Public School, Ballabhgarh, including others.
While giving away prizes to the winners, Rotarian Brijesh Mathur, Managing Partner of BMC Advisors, appreciated the initiative of Equiwings in promoting indigenous sports such as Archery and Horse Riding in India, especially among the school students. Ms. Vinu Chaudhri, Director of the Parivartan School also handed over the prizes to the winners.
