The jury panel consisted of Ashok Ganguly, Educationist & Former Chairman, CBSE; Abha Adams, Education Consultant; Lata Vaidyanathan, Director, TERI Prakriti School, Delhi; Pramath Raj Sinha, Founder & Trustee, Ashoka University, Founding Dean, ISB; Rupamanjari Ghosh, Vice-Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University and Natasha Jog, Senior Anchor & Senior Editor, NDTV.
Speaking at the event, Mr. K V L Narayan Rao, Group CEO & Executive Vice Chairperson, NDTV said, “The NDTV – Educomp Education Awards focus on identifying educators and institutions who have gone out of their way to create excellence and set the benchmark in India’s education system. We are all here to celebrate such leaders and better the process of learning, as I truly believe that it is a lifelong process.”
Speaking at the event, Mr. Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister, Delhi, said, “Quality education is the need of the hour in our country. Our prime focus for the last two years has been to ensure that education is imparted through creative learning method so that our kids can have a good understanding of them. Our education system has become a victim to time bound curriculum which in most cases means subjects are taught in haste and it’s not exactly knowledge sharing. We’re working to change that.”
Speaking about the initiative, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, the Sarod maestro said, “I feel education creates compassion and kindness in a child. But now a days, kids are becoming more and more impatient, so I think parents should give more time to their children. For me, education is music in my life.”
