Roca has partnered with ace designers, Bindu Vadera and Sonali Bhagwati to create beautiful bathroom installations at the decoration pavilion and symposium area at ID.
Bindu Vadera began her love affair with Form and Process at Camberwell College of Arts where she studied Blacksmithing and Patination. Having come away with a newfound respect for material and texture she started a company called ‘The Works’ - an Atelier and Playground for Home Accessories and Furniture where she experimented with Metal, Wood and Marble. It quickly became important for her to create pieces that layered Texture and Architectural details. Drawing inspiration from her senses by marrying the visual with the tactile, she carried this philosophy forward when she opened the ‘VARYA’ furniture store in 2009, and subsequently ‘VARYA DESIGN’ in 2013. Her keen eye and obsession with detail grew from accessories to entire spaces and she has been developing and designing Villas and Interior Projects across the country ever since.
Sonali Bhagwati, Co-founder of an internationally recognized Design firm, Spazzio Design, is the President of DPA. A graduate from CEPT, Ahmadabad, she received a scholarship from L’Institute Francaise D’Architecture to work in Paris in addition to numerous awards like 11th IID MK Awards in 2006, Architect of the Year Award in 2008 by Zee Business, Architect of the Year Award in 2012 by India Home Awards, Design Excellence Award in 2015, to name a few. She has been featured as one of the 20 best Architects of India in the book ‘Reflections’, and as ‘Hot 100 Contemporary Indian Architects’ in Architect & Interiors India magazine. Being one of the 3 members of Delhi Urban Arts Commission, one of the most prestigious organizations in the country, she has been closely associated with the restructuring of building bye-laws for Delhi. She is involved in the SUO MOTU city projects taken up by DUAC.
