Inducts global experts to shape a vision for the 21st century knowledge economy in India and South Asia
30 January, 2017, New Delhi: One Globe Forum, India’s leading platform for thought leaders and industry experts to deliberate on transformation of India and South Asia into a 21st century knowledge economy, has announced expansion of its Advisory Board. The 6th edition of the One Globe Forum will be held on February 10th and 11th, 2017 in New Delhi and will bring together leaders from business, government, think tanks, industry associations as well as ministers, bureaucrats, policy makers and influencers, entrepreneurs, educators and academia from around the world.
UK-based Founder & Chairman Trustee of The Loomba Foundation, Lord Raj Loomba CBE; US-based Founder & Chairman of Infinite Computer Solutions Mr. Sanjay Govil; US-based Founder and President of Alpha Advisory Partners, Ms. Sheila Hooda; and US-based Managing Director of Dr. Chips Consulting LLC, Dr. Makarand “Chips” Chipalkatti have been inducted into the One Globe Forum’s advisory board.
The existing advisory board members include Anurag Thakur, BJP Member of Parliament and Chairman of India’s Parliamentary Committee on IT; Jerry Hultin, Chairman, Global Smart City Council, Barcelona, Senior Presidential Fellow New York University and President Emeritus Polytechnic Institute of NYU; Dr. Shailaja Fennell, Centre of Development Studies, University of Cambridge; Mukul Pandya, Editor-in-Chief, Knowledge@Wharton; Mahendra Bapna, Harvard Advanced Leadership Fellow and industry-academia interface advisor to IIT Jodhpur; Dr. Siddharth Saxena, Chairperson, Cambridge Central Asia Forum, University of Cambridge; and Gaurav Verma, Executive Vice President, U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC).
Lord Loomba, Founder and Chairman Trustee, The Loomba Foundation, said, “We must include and empower people at the grassroots in order to realize the vision of a 21st century knowledge economy. The Loomba Foundation has been providing skills training and livelihoods to tens of thousands of poor widows in India, and sponsoring education for their children. One Globe Forum had earlier recognized our work through an Award for Excellence in Creating Social Impact, and I now look forward to working more closely as part of its advisory board.”
Sanjay Govil, Founder & Chairman, Infinite Computer Solutions, said, “I’m honored to be a part of the advisory board of the One Globe Forum and being involved in this diverse community of leaders. Given its strong role in global affairs, I’m excited about being able to provide input towards the 21st century knowledge economy, driven by technology and innovation.” Sanjay is credited with growing Infinite to being the ‘NASSCOM Top 20 Company’ it is today, with 6,000+ employees and eight global delivery centers across three continents. He is on the Graduate Board at Wharton. He is the owner of Delhi Acers badminton team, and has been actively working towards strengthening India-U.S. ties through sports such as cricket.
One Globe Forum has also announced that the World is One News (WION), an English news platform from Zee Media that focuses on covering global news from a South Asian perspective, will be the ‘Global Channel Partner’ for One Globe 2017.
