The JioMoney demonstration has been one of the key highlights of the Digidhan Mela, Hyderabad. JioMoney’s kiosk is attracting many visitors at the venue. Besides showcasing JioMoney, Reliance Jio is also provided high-speed ‘JioNet’ WiFi facility to all the visitors at Digidhan Mela.
Union Ministers Bandaru Dattatreya and MJ Akbar formally inaugurated the JioMoney Kiosk at the Mela. Jio- Telangana Sales Head M. Sreenivasa Rao briefed the Ministers on JioMoney application and its unique features of cashless transactions.
‘Digidhan Mela’ is being organised by Union Government and Telangana State IT Department with an aim to spreading digital financial literacy among the public. This is part of the Centre’s move to conduct the melas in all major cities of the country for popularising digital transactions.
While the ‘digital payment’ movement is fast sweeping the nation’s landscape, the key to its success lies in its widespread adoption, which is possible only when every single person in India has a hassle-free digital payment experience. The need of the hour is to equip every Indian, even those living in the remotest corners, with intelligently designed and secure digital payment platforms that are easy to understand and operate.
JioMoney, the digital payments platform of Reliance Jio, is aiding this economic transformation by enabling Aadhar based utility payments across towns and villages. It is providing innovative solutions for feature phone users, and partnering with banking correspondent outlets for democratising participation across all geographies. JioMoney is fast expanding its footprint and has facilitated migration to cashless transactions.
