India 9 December 2016: StageForCare, the latest campaign conceptualized by Propaganda India for Max Institute of Cancer Care (Max Healthcare), brought different performers together for Cancer patients. Held at the Max Institute of Cancer Care, Lajpat Nagar, the idea was simple in its beauty. Cancer patients spend significant amounts of time undergoing chemotherapy, a painful and most times, grim process. What if volunteering was of a different kind and got patients and performers together?

Propaganda India kickstarts cancer volunteering campaign for Max Healthcare

The campaign was kickstarted prior to World Volunteers Day celebrated on the 5th of December. The campaign calls for people to volunteer an hour with the patients during their chemo sessions. They were invited to come and perform just about anything – from singing to storytelling to mimicry and – anything that could put a smile on the patients’ faces.

Recognised talents like Faridkot, the band from Delhi and popular comedian Rajneesh Kapoor were some of the people who lent their time and talent to kickstart StageForCare.

The StageForCare campaign is live on www.maxhealthcare.com/Cancer-volunteering and you can also follow the handle @MaxHealthcare on Twitter and https://www.facebook.com/MaxHealthcareHospitals/

Speaking about StageForCare, Mohan Menon, Head of Marketing, Max Healthcare said, “The fight against cancer is not an easy one. It calls for huge will and determination to see the treatment through. While there are opportunities for us to help create cancer awareness, there are none where we, as individuals, could be part of a cancer patient’s journey and help in easing their pain a little. We are overwhelmed by the initial response, Stageforcare has received – both from patients and from volunteers who’ve registered. The campaign came alive because it’s a beautiful thought brought out well to life – thanks to our digital & social partners, Propaganda India. The idea is to routinely go beyond the obvious and create real experiences that make a difference to our patients, both medically and emotionally.”

Priya Jayaraman, Business Director, Propaganda India added “Every brand has a unique personality, one that agencies need to nurture and help grow. StageForCare was created keeping in mind Max Healthcare’s commitment to its customers on one hand and something real and tangible that cancer patients could feel, could connect to. Volunteerism is not the easiest to get participation for, especially when we see people sad. We are thrilled at the response we have received and everyone of us associated with the campaign has been deeply touched one way or the other. We are looking forward to talent coming together for this Stage that’s not for entertainment, but one that truly heals and lifts up spirits”
