Neurological Society of India, Annual Meet at Chennai
Public forum on Golden Hour, one of the highlights
India 8 December 2016: The 65th Annual Conference of the Neurological Society of India will be held in Chennai from 15th to 18th December, 2016, at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. The theme of the conference is ‘Heritage to Modernity: An Inspiring Saga’ and is hosted by the Chennai Neuro Association.
According to Dr. K. Sridhar, Organising Secretary, “NSI has its origins in Chennai and the growth of neuroscience and its importance is from this city which is known as the ‘Mecca of Medicine’. A galaxy of orators, distinguished luminaries in the field of neurosciences from India and abroad are going to be present at this national meet which will see over 1200 doctors from all over India and abroad participate in this World Class Conference. The Society of British Neurological Surgeons are also participating.”
Dr. Sridhar added, “Another important feature in this conference is the public forum which will discuss the “Golden Hour”. This is scheduled on Sunday, 18th and the Golden Hour refers to managing time judiciously, so that the brain injury/Stroke gets diagnosed and treated as quickly as possible, preventing serious damage to the brain.”
Dr. R.C. Mishra, President, NSI says, ‘This conference is special since every delegate will have an opportunity to attend the unique synthesis of scientific program throughout the conference days. The high impact CME, orations, special lectures, topic based symposia, video sessions, pre conference workshops, and simulation courses are important highlights.”
