Launches customised shade ‘Biennale White’ exclusively for the prestigious art exhibition
Kochi, December 20, 2016: Paint and decor major, Asian Paints, in its commitment to supporting and promoting art for society, has partnered with the coveted and larger-than-life art exhibition, Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2016. Inspired by the creativity that this celebrated art extravaganza represents, Asian Paints launched a customized shade, ‘Biennale White’ exclusively for Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2016. The shade has been used for all the exhibition halls in Kochi and has made its way to the walls of every Biennale site.
This signature shade created for Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2016 has been curated by expert colourists and artists. It was brought to life after careful exploration by Asian Paints colour marketing and R&T teams and renowned artists from the exhibition, Sudarshan Shetty, Riyas Komu and Bose Krishnamachari. The team explored different shades of white and arrived at the flawless white shade, ‘Biennale White’. This distinctive shade is a pure white shade with no undertones.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amit Syngle, President-Sales, Marketing & Technology, Asian Paints Ltd said, “At Asian Paints, we are dedicated towards promoting art for society and have supported various street art projects across multiple cities with this purpose. Kochi-Muziris Biennale is one of the most significant art events in the country appropriately held in the cosmopolitan, multicultural city of Kochi. In our collaboration with this exhibition, we have taken our responsibility towards art a step further. We got the best minds from both sides to come up with the right shade of white that would become the canvas for artists to exhibit and express their art. ‘Biennale White’ is flawless and pure white shade that enhances inventiveness and lifts the spirit. We are very happy to launch this new shade exclusively for this incredible exhibition for contemporary art in Kochi.”
