Three categories with 2500 kids participation in First edition of HKR2016

Hyderabad, 24th December 2016: The First Edition of Hyderabad Kids Run 2016 saw close to 2500 kids run at the 1st Edition of Hyderabad Kids Run jointly organised d by Hyderabad Runners and HITEX today, giving a touch of healthy lifestyle for kids and parents in this edition.
Hyderabad Kids Run 2016 is being organized in 3 categories: 5 KM | 2KM | 1 Km to promote an active lifestyle & family bonding in a fun & engaging manner for the children.
1 Km - "Monfant" for mothers to carry their infants below 24 months in sling bags for a distance of 1 km
2 Km - "Chill-Run" for children from 3 to 9 years where parents can push their children in prams or walk with them
5 Km - "Hi-Five" for children between 10 to 15 years to run 5 kms
Kids from all age groups have participated along with underprivileged children from Ashraya Akruti, Foundation, Zilla parishad high school and over 200 kids from the government school adopted by HITEX as part of their CSR activity.
The event was flagged off by Mr. Malla Reddy, MD,Dr Copper and also Dr Shilpi and Dr Shweta, KIMS Cuddles Mother and child Hospital.
Apart from the runs, there are a large variety of fun activities, being held that include bungee jumping, trampoline, cliff climbing, etc.
Talking about the First Edition of Hyderabad Kids Run 2016, Mr. K V Nagender Prasad, COO – HITEX said: “Inclusion of the Hyderabad KIDS Run 2016 has added more vigor to the KIDS Fair and happy to partner with Hyderabad Runners, which has been organizing Hyderabad Marathon over last 6 years. The 8th Edition of Hyderabad Kids Fair has become a destination event for parents & children and this year, we have added a lot of new games & fun activities.”
