Bengaluru ,24th November 2016 : Dr Seema Saadikha, Anti-Aging Specialist & founder Namma Mitra Foundation, was awarded SAARTHAK NAARI Award by 1000 PETALS & CNBC TV18 in recognition of her work towards social up liftment of the people of Hubli & Dharwad. The award was presented by Padmashree Mrs. Santosh Yadav at the Lalit Ashok in Bengaluru on 19th Nov 2016.
Speaking on the occasion Dr, Seema Saadikha, invited more women to take a stand for a social cause, and join hands with each other to empower more women so that the communities can become a better place for the upcoming generation. She said "Working with passion & compassion will always yield sincere results, when you give love you will receive more love. This has been the philosophy of Namma Mitra form the beginning'.
Namma Mitra Foundation, works on a wide range of projects connecting with numerous rural communities. The main focus lies in the area of Healthcare, Education, Self-Sustenance and Environment. Namma Mitra foundation works on several projects which lead to better quality of living, self-sustenance, social and economical empowerment and so on. For example: The solar lighting project which started with one village has now reached 4 hamlets. "Natural Tera filters" were provided to 5 schools and Anganwadi’s to provide clean drinking water to the school going children.
Namma Mitra also works towards bringing out the best in the children in the villages. For over a year now the volunteers have been working alongside children and encouraging them to bring out the best talents.
