Mumbai, 8th November 2016:  Mumbai City FC today announced the return of Sunil Chhetri, Udanta Singh, Amrinder Singh and Lalchhuanmawia Fanai to the squad after their successful stint with Bengaluru FC at the AFC Cup 2016.

After being a part of the first ever Indian club to reach the AFC Cup final, the players will unite with confidence to take Mumbai City FC towards the ultimate goal of winning the ISL season 3 title. The long awaited moment of Mumbai City FC fans to see Norde, Forlan and Chhetri play together will end now.

Commenting on the joining of the ace players, Mumbai City FC head coach Alexandre Guimaraes said, “We are delighted to have Sunil, Amrinder, Fanai and Udanta join us. They return from an amazing journey with Bengaluru FC, and their achievements speak highly of their quality and hunger. Having them join us at this key point gives us a huge boost and the entire squad is looking forward to having them join us.”


On the return with Mumbai City FC, Indian national team captain Sunil Chhetri said, “We've had an incredible experience with Bengaluru FC and now we're extremely excited to join our teammates in the ISL. We have been following Mumbai City FC's progress and the results and performances from the team have been phenomenal. We can't wait to join the coach and the players and hopefully add to the results and give the fans of Mumbai something to cheer for at the end of the season.”
