Johnson Grammar School crowned as winners of ‘Pearson’s City –Wide Quiz’ in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, November 28, 2016: Students of Johnson Grammar School won the ‘Pearson’s City –Wide Quiz’ held in the city today. Aimed at providing an opportunity for students to showcase their talent and indulge in their quest for knowledge, Pearson Schools, managed by Pearson India organized a city-wide inter-school quiz competition for the second year in a row at Hyderabad for students from Grade 5 to 8. The contest was organized with Nexus consulting as their quiz partners
After rounds of rigorous competition students Greeshma and Sampreeth from Johnson Grammar School emerged as winners. Tejaswi P and Saket A from Epistemo Global were the runner ups. The Quiz received overwhelming response from the student community and witnessed participation of more than 15 teams from 8 schools. The winners received exciting prizes and participant certificates.

The preliminary rounds were conducted on November 25th in Hillside School, Johnson Grammar School and Pearson School, Kompally. The questions at the quiz ranged from an entire spectrum of topics from the school curriculum of 5th-8th grade and also included a certain amount of current events, sports, and popular culture. The format of the quiz was structured in a manner that not only tests the knowledge of students but also required them to apply sophisticated team tactics. The quiz created a unique platform for students to learn the importance of fostering team spirit and indulging in healthy competition. The city-wide quiz competition will be held in Bangalore, Mangalore, Pune, Kolkata and Bhopal in the weeks to come.
