ScanSnap Cloud – PC-less scanning directly to your cloud

•    Free service enables sending scanned data directly to cloud accounts without computer or smart devices
•    For use with ScanSnap iX100 and ScanSnap iX500
•    Automatic sorting into standard categories including documents, business cards, receipts and photos

Dubai, November 30, 2016 – With the introduction of the ScanSnap Cloud, Fujitsu subsidiary PFU (EMEA) Limited is launching a new free service that enables ScanSnap iX100 and ScanSnap iX500 customers to streamline document scanning workflows by transmitting data directly from ScanSnap to popular cloud services. ScanSnap Cloud speeds up and simplifies the process to scan and save important information by eliminating the need for PCs or smart devices for the scanning process. Taking one-button scanning one step further, ScanSnap Cloud automatically sorts and routes data directly to cloud-based services like Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive and other popular cloud services.

Streamlining workflows with ScanSnap Cloud

ScanSnap Cloud automatically classifies scanned documents into four categories: documents, receipts, business cards and photos. Customers simply define once which target system should automatically be addressed for each document category by selecting their favourite cloud services per category. ScanSnap Cloud then automatically sorts and delivers the data to the designated cloud service. View the ScanSnap Cloud video to learn more.

Innovative features
Automatic image processing: Before routing scanned documents to selected cloud services, ScanSnap Cloud optimises scanned images with automatic paper-size and colour detection, automatic page rotation and blank page removal.
Automatic file naming: Documents are automatically named using extracted keywords and dates.
Cloud service integration: ScanSnap Cloud supports integration with Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Box. In addition a ScanSnap Cloud SDK (Software Development Kit) is available and local cloud service providers are invited to collaborate with PFU (EMEA) Limited and create a dedicated connector to their service that will empower taking paper directly to their cloud service offering.
Security: ScanSnap Cloud utilises Microsoft Azure servers, which are hosted in the European Union and protect cloud data with its robust security platform.

ScanSnap Cloud enables users of any operating system environment including Linux to step up to the ScanSnap platform and take full advantage of single touch paper-to-cloud perfection without installing a driver. All they need is a connection to the cloud service of their choice. For first time setup and control of ScanSnap Cloud, PFU provides apps which are available free of charge for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android.

"We are constantly improving the efficiency of our ScanSnap product line in order to make our customers more productive", says Mike Nelson, Vice President at Fujitsu subsidiary PFU (EMEA) Limited, "The combination of one-button ScanSnap scanning and seamless integration with popular cloud services underlines our commitment to offer the best scanning solutions in the industry”.
