Bangalore, November 23, 2016: Sellers from India are all set for the Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which are regarded by consumers as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season in the US. Amazon is enabling thousands of Indian sellers to make the best of Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the Christmas season in USA by providing millions of consumers residing in the US, access to a wide range of ‘Made in India’ products on Amazon.com.
More than 1,000,000 units of products across over 25,000 categories such as consumer durables, kitchen utensils and cookwares, clothing and fashion accessories, luxury items, home décor, travel bags, sports equipment etc. have already been shipped to Amazon Fulfilment Centres in the US to facilitate One-Two Day delivery at customers’ doorstep through “Amazon Prime” program. Sellers from India are also enabling expedited shipment for products to be shipped from India to their US customers within 3-5 days from date of order. The specially curated selection this year also includes thousands of carefully-chosen products from leading Indian ethnicwear brands like Biba, FabIndia and Manyavar that are popular across the globe for their beautiful intricate designs, bold patterns and bright colours.
Amazon’s Global Selling Program facilitates easy, simple and convenient access for all Indian sellers - including entrepreneurs, SMEs, manufacturers – to sell their ‘Make in India’ products to consumers across Amazon’s nine global marketplaces. The program has witnessed a 70% increase in seller base as compared to last year and offers sellers a comprehensive end-to-end solution that includes assisting sellers with imaging, logistics, tax advisory and remittance. With over 25 million Indian products listed on Amazon’s global marketplaces, Global Sales has expanded selection of popular Indian products into several categories.
