Mumbai, November 17th, 2016: Following the Government’s announcement, on the stripping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency unit of its status as legal tender, AasaanJobs conducted a camp at Andheri, Mumbai to make people in the lower sections of the society aware about the sudden currency change.
Commenting on the same, Siddharth Gupta, Head of Marketing & PR, AasaanJobs.com commented, “People in the lower strata are not aware about the ban and are unaware about how to exchange their old currency from the banks and the various rules around that. We conducted this awareness drive with the purpose to convey to people as to how they can deal with the demonetization initiative and manage their funds at banks and post offices. We also informed people regarding places that are accepting old currencies like hospitals, petrol stations etc.”
As a part of this drive, AasaanJobs appointed 5 people in Andheri who interacted with people in order to make them aware and also to prevent them from falling unassuming preys to fraudulent activities and criminal designs.
