ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION BRINGS OUT THE CREATIVE BEST IN STUDENTS: JAGDEEP SINGH JI CHANDHOK

18th November, 2016 in Mumbai- The guest embarked on a timeless journey from Retro to Metro at Annual Day celebration of The Management Of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Education Society's Sri Kalgidhar Mission High School which bought the essence of cultural diversity and rich heritage of the country.

The program started with the school prayer & ardas to take the blessings of almighty Wahe Guru Ji. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp by the Chairman Sardar Jagdeep Singh Ji Chandhok and the other dignitaries including Hrishitaa Bhatt, Abhishek Awasthi, Raja Sagoo Comedian, Shweta Khanduri, Arun Bali

. The chairman of the school shared a few words with all the audience.

During the event, students presented a harmonious ensemble of the epic that sculpted morals, value system and rich legacy of Indian traditions. The function marked the culmination of various cultural activities that gave students a platform to showcase their talent.

The winners in various competitions received prizes from the guests. The students were honored for their curricular & extra- curricular activities.

Chairman Sardar Jagdeep Singh Ji Chandhok remarked that the show aimed to bring forth the culture and tradition of India in all its glory "The annual functions have it own charms and the students give their contribution very enthusiastically. Our school celebrates many functions like children's day, teacher's day, science exhibition & sports Day but still there is something that we look forward during each session and that is the Annual day Program. The beam of laughter, the tears of sorrow, the hard work, appreciation and criticisms and then the final countdown begins for the most awaited day"

Late S. Harnam Singh Ji Chandhok, the founder of S.K.M.H.S laid the foundation in the year 1966 with the esteemed team of 11 members- Late Shri. Surjit Singh ji Chandhok , Late Shri. Sudharshan Bakshi Ji, Late Shri. Inderjit Singh ji Marwel, Late Shri. Harbans Singh ji Sethi, Late Shri. Bishan Singh ji Kohli, Late Shri. Dilip Singh ji Kohli, Late Shri. S.S Varma ji, Late Shri. Roshanlal ji Bhatia, Late Shri. Dilip Singh ji Bali, Shri. Kewal Singh Ji, Shri. D.S Ahluwalia Ji

Late S. Surjit Singh ji Chandhok besides being one of the founder members was also the chairman of the school, managing committee till Nov,2008. During his tenure as a chairman, he was fully dedicated and engrossed in upbringing and nurturing this educational institution with his firm hands.

The present school management committee members is lead by Chairman S. Jagdeep Singh ji Chandhok, Shri Suresh Bakshi ji, S. Gurdeep Singh Ji Chandhok, S. Tejvans Singh Ji Anand, S. Ajit Singh Ji Chadha Chandhok, S. Gurbax Singh Ji, S. Harpreet Singh Ji Jaggi, S. Surinder Pal Singh Ji Chawla, Shri. Surinder Kumar Gulati.

The foundation of this wonderful organization was laid by Sardar Harnam Singh ji Chandhok in 1966 with only 4 students. His strong foresight, hardwork and strong will power is the only reason that the school is reaping the fruits, with more than 2300 students today.

S. K. M. H. S is a pre- primary till it follows the S.S.C board where S. Jagdeep Singh Ji Chandhok at present is the chairman & gives guidance & full support in all the school activities
