India 12 October 2016: The prestigious "Dr. K. V. Thiruvengadam Award for Health Care 2016" was conferred on Dr. Jaishree Gajaraj, well known Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, by the Rotary Club of Madras East (RCME) and Kauvery Hospital. Mr. P Murari, IAS (retd.), Adviser to the President of FICCI, presented the award to Dr. Jaishree, in the presence of Padma Shri Dr. K. V. Thiruvengadam and Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, ED, Kauvery Hospital.
According to Rtn. Ananth, President, RCME, "Our club has instituted the Dr. K. V. Thiruvengadam Award for Health Care since 2006, in the name of our Honorary Member, Dr. K. V. Thiruvengadam, who is a doyen of Medicine and Healthcare in India. Dr. Jaishree who has impeccable credentials and has given her best to all her patients including the needy, is the most deserving Doctor to be conferred with this award."
Dr. Jaishree Gajaraj has a vast experience of over 3 decades in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her MBBS in 1980, Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1984 and MD - Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1988 from Madras University. She is a member of Indian Medical Association (IMA). She practiced medicine in United Kingdom for S years and obtained FRCOG and FRC(Ed) in Pelvic Surgery.
