· Coins and fresh currency worth Rs. 3 lakh were exchanged
Panjim 27 October 2016: ICICI Bank, India's largest private sector bank by consolidated assets, organised 13 coin exchange melas in Goa, last week. These melas were organised at the bank’s branches in Pilerne, Curchorem, Chinchinim, Cuncolim, Aquem, Navelim, Pernem, Margao, Vasco, Ponda, Mapusa, Benaulim and Candolim.
Shri. Jaikish, General Manager & Officer-in-Charge, Reserve Bank of India, inaugurated the event at the Vasco branch.
ICICI Bank periodically organises coin exchange melas to offer a free facility of exchanging notes with coins to the general public. These are much-awaited events that receive an overwhelming response from people from all walks of life. Anyone can avail of this facility free of cost.
The coin melas witnessed people exchanging coins worth Rs. 3 lakh in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs.5, Rs.2 and Re.1.
