Mumbai, 01 September, 2016: Visitors at Viviana Mall made a record 411 eco-friendly Ganesha idols in just two days. To spread awareness and promote environment friendly Ganesha festival; Viviana Mall, leading retail destination mall in Mumbai Metropolitan Region arranged a workshop for all Ganesha devotees to visit and make eco friendly Ganesha idols with their own hands. All eco friendly material was provided to the customers from the mall.
Kids, students, office goers, families visited Viviana Mall to make ‘Eco friendly Ganesha’ on August 27 and 28, 2016. The mall had put forth the initiative to encourage use of eco friendly idols this Ganesha festival. The response on August 27 and 28, 2016 was tremendous and many visitors including kids and senior citizens participated in the eco friendly Ganesha making workshop. Last year too, the mall had created a huge Ganesha idol made of recycled papers. This year the mall moved a step ahead and showed devotee of Ganesha how they can be a part of the environment protection initiative.
Customers wholeheartedly participated in the activity. Some customers even took the Murtis home for sthapna. The mall shall do sthapna of all other idols that are made by customers and worship all of them together on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The visarjan of all idols will be done along with the main idol on the seventh day of Ganesha festival with all traditional requirements.
