“Donate- a- book”
"Trio tots celebrated International Literacy Day by gifting books to underprivileged students"
Bangalore, September 19th 2016: "Reading the Past, Writing the Future" is the theme by UNESCO this year for celebrating the 50th Anniversary of International Literacy Day. Taking this thought forward students at Trio Tots shared a few books which were used to set up a library at Sparsha Trust.
Sparsha Trust is a child center for underprivileged students which run under the Government Model Primary School- Sanjeevini Nagar. The school has collected approximately around 250books to set up the library and the children at Sparsha Trust were delighted and happy to receive support and help from the school.
The initiative has brought in a sense of sharing and caring amongst the tots and they were excited about "Donate-a-book" initiative which brought in a smile on the kids who share the book and the kids who received the books.
"The whole idea behind this initiative was to create awareness of being literate, we are immensely proud of our little tots who donned a smile on their face as they came forward to donate their books. This helped us inculcate the feeling of sharing and spreading happiness in our little tots" said Greshma Momaya , Preschool Coordinator.
She further added saying "we take this opportunity to thank each parent for lending their constant support without which we could not have made this event a successful one."
