Bengaluru, August 24, 2016: Aster DM Healthcare announced that it will formally launch Quaternary Care Super-Specialty Facility, Aster CMI at Hebbal, Bengaluru in continuation of its endeavour to create patient-centric hospitals driven by medical innovations and clinical excellence. The hospital will be inaugurated on August 27, 2016 by the legendary cricketer Shri Sachin Tendulkar in the presence of Central and State Ministers.
The hospital which was operated earlier under the brand Cauvery Hospital is rebranded to Aster CMI Hospital and upgraded from a 73 bedded facility to 509 beds, as a Quaternary Care Multi-SpecialityHospital with dedicated Centers of Excellence in Cardiac-Sciences, Neuro-Sciences, Gastro-Sciences, Surgery and Allied specialities, Integrated Liver Care, Organ Transplant, Urology & Nephrology, Orthopaedics, Women & Child and Adolescent Health.
Aster CMI Hospital will feature cutting edge technology such as 3 Tesla MRI, 128 Slice CT Scanner, and Hybrid Cath lab. There will also be 12 Modular Operation Theatres, and close to 100 Intensive Care Beds. A dedicated transplant ICU and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit besides an NABL accredited Clinical Lab and Blood Bank will be a part of this Superspeciality Hospital.

An outlay of Rs. 2 crore has been earmarked for this as part of this CSR initiative for the next four years.
