Oriflame looks forward to the government’s proposal to regulate the direct selling sector Supports Various Government initiative’s

Chandigarh, 9th August 2016:
Oriflame, a leading direct selling Swedish beauty brand is looking forward to the Consumer Affairs Ministry’s proposal to regulate the Rs 8000 Crore direct selling sector which will protect the interest of consumers and direct sellers on direct selling platforms.

Lack of clear guidelines has hurt the direct selling industry due to various Pyramid/Ponzi schemes in the market. The guidelines once notified will be conveyed to the states who may have an option to adopt them. And, the proposal once implemented will provide a conducive and sustainable operating environment for Direct Selling Companies and at the same time ensure the interests of the consumers as informed by Mr Vivek Katoch Director- Corporate Affairs.
