- Will represent the city at the Grand Finale of the prestigious Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2016 in Delhi on Oct 7-
22 August 2016 Chennai: IIT Madras won the Chennai qualifying round of The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2016 held at the Ethiraj College for Women, today.
The team of three comprising Ananth Sundararaman, Rushabh Menon and S.Venkatas Subramanyam did their college proud by winning the Chennai finals where 50 teams had participated. Ms. Josa Karre from Embassy of Sweden handed out the prizes at the Inter-Collegiate quiz competition which saw avid quizzers from across reputed colleges and technical institutes of the city.
Quiz Master Kunal Savarkar hosted the regional round where the participation was open to all college teams.
Winners of the Chennai round will represent the city at the National Finals which will be held at New Delhi on October 7, 2016.
Apart from Chennai, the Quiz will also be held in Pune, Indore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Guwahati and New Delhi.
The National Champions will win an all-expense paid trip to Sweden where they will visit headquarters of global Swedish companies, Swedish Universities and the Nobel Museum among other things.
