India, 14 July, 2016: Mr. Sameer Rastogi, Managing Partner at India Juris, an International Law Firm, took a session on “Alternate Source of Funding, and Angel Investment” at the Workshop on “Mantra of Getting Institutional Finance”, which was organized for Young Entrepreneurs, Start-ups and MSMEs by the PHD Chamber, on 11th July, 2016, at PHD House, New Delhi. Being an expert in this field for several years, he was able to provide the requisite knowledge to the young entrepreneurs and start-ups. The main purpose of the event was to illuminate the young entrepreneurs on the issues related to financial planning and access to finance, which are the biggest obstacles in the growth of this sector.
The event was scheduled to start at 10:00 hours, and it ended at 13:30 hours. There were several distinguished speakers who highlighted the different aspects related to acquisition of finance by startups and young entrepreneurs, including a session on “Familiarisation with Different Kinds of Credits” by Mr. Gaurav Sharma, the Regional Credit Manager of IDFC Bank, as well as “Collateral Free Loans for SMEs & Financial Planning” by Mr. Amarjeet Singh Pahwa, Partner at Crest Capital Advisors. Mr. Rastogi addressed the matters regarding securing of funds from alternate sources, including angel investments, as well as the legal requirements thereof. At the end of all the sessions, a Q&A round was conducted, to clarify doubts and stimulate discussions. Many young entrepreneurs and start-ups benefitted from the workshop, and the sessions.
