Tata Docomo appoints Amitabh Bhatia to Head Business and Operations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana


Hyderabad, July 08, 2016: Tata Docomo, one of the leading telecom players, has announced the appointment of Mr. Amitabh Bhatia as Consumer Business Unit (CBU) Head – Andhra Pradesh & Telangana Circle. As the CBU Head, Amitabh would be responsible for overseeing company’s business and operations in the highly dynamic and growing telecom markets of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Amitabh joined telecom industry in its infancy and understands business and dynamics of the industry well basis his overall exposure with Telecom. Amitabh holds 20 years of rich experience and extensive knowledge across several brands and services especially an in-depth understanding of enterprising and aggressive telecom markets. His expertise lies in people engagement, managing large teams, cross-functional alignment for business goals, channelizing teams to deliver on common objectives. Prior to this new role, Amitabh was leading Gujarat circle at Tata Teleservices.

Amitabh is an MBA in International Marketing and has previously held various positions at Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communication, Electrolux and RPG Cellular (now Idea - MPCG).
