SDG has so far received numerous innovative ideas and developmental observations through Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Majlis including 442 ideas related to Smart Dubai Government and 73 to Smart Dubai Initiative. After these ideas and observations had been assessed, three idea owners; namely, Eng. Ahmed Al Zarooni, Abdullah Saeed Al Habsi, and Ali Hussain, were honoured. This reflects SDG’s commitment to adopt the ideas and suggestions of customers as a way to engage customers and urge them to share their ideas with the aim of further developing its smart services and apps in line with their needs. SDG is aware of customers’ needs through various channels including Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Majlis, Customer Experience Lab, brainstorming sessions and social media and aims at enhancing customers' happiness and satisfaction and hence providing happy life experiences for Dubai to become a global model of the happiest city.

H.E. Wesam Al Abbas Lootah, CEO of SDG, said: “Dubai has not received the ‘Pearl of the World’ title haphazardly but because it’s really the city of happiness. Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Majlis is evidence of the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which believes that innovative governments are capable of harnessing the energies of their peoples and improving the power of human mind." Lootah valued the Majlis' adoption of a set of innovative pillars which facilitated creative mass thinking and encouraged access to various developmental areas under HH Sheikh Mohammed's direct supervision.

“A key feature of the smart city lies in its ability to launch comprehensive and integrated smart initiatives across the city and make them available for everyone through smart systems and approaches based on knowledge and logical analysis of the streaming innovative ideas. As an example we have the innovative ideas and smart services offered by Mohammed Bin Rashid Smart Majlis, which contribute effectively to pushing the wheel of development, economic growth and smart transformation, in a sustainable manner in line with the world's highest competitiveness standards. This falls in line with the directives of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, which stressed the need to focus on smart transformation and performance efficiency,” Lootah concluded.

SDG has been supporting the emirate’s successful smart transformation for over 10 years, promoting government performance by offering shared and enablement services, connected services and shared infrastructure. As a result, SDG has now become the technology arm of Smart Dubai Office (SDO) which is tasked with overseeing the implementation of the ultimate goal of transforming Dubai into the world’s smartest city, thereby contributing to the happiness of Dubai inhabitants.
