India 25 July 2016: If you are looking for some mouthwatering and scrumptious sizzlers during this monsoon, Mostly Grills at The Orchid Mumbai is the place to be, as this roof top restaurant overlooking the airport will be dishing out some of the best lip-smacking and yummy sizzlers to make these lovely and magical monsoon evenings memorable. Also a glass of beer is complimentary with the order of two sizzlers.
The chef has created a sizzling menu to pep up the evenings with a host of vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings. According to chef, the secret of the perfect sizzler lies in the precise temperature of the metal platter on which it's served and the staff has been perfected on it.
"Sizzler" is an open-roasted, grilled or shallow fried piece of meat, chicken, fish or vegetable patty, served with french fries, shredded cabbage, tomatoes, carrots etc. It is served on a metal hot plate, kept on a wooden base. The word "sizzler" comes from the sizzle that one hears when, after heating the dish under a grill, the sauce based gravy is poured on, which dribbles on the hot plate and heats up.
Executive Chef, Navid Sayyad has created a menu which has the traditional sizzlers as well as those having an Indian touch. Some of the classic presentations for the vegetarians include Grilled Tepanyaki Vegetables, Sizzling Vegetable Steak with Barbecue Sauce, Ravioli ala Verdure etc. The other drool worthy options for vegetarians with an Indian touch is Sunehri Mushroom Farci and Sabji ki Numaish.
Non vegetarians can relish the traditional American meat on Grill, Tex Mex fusion and Sous vide Chicken. Other offering with the local flavors such as Murgh of Heaven, Pomfret Tava Masaledar is also delectable and tasty. There is also an in-house specialty MG’s Sizzler which is a very popular one, informs chef.
Even the desserts have a sizzling touch to it. One can complete his dinner with an Orchid Brownie on Sizzlers or an inimitable Tequila & Lemon Mousse.
All sizzlers are served with choice of French fries/Potato wedges/Jacket potato/steamed rice/noodles.
