Manjeet Chhillar creates a history by grabbing 11 defense points
Delhi, July 27, 2016: In a nail biting finish, Puneri Paltan dashed in the semi-finals of Season 4 Pro Kabaddi League by crashing Bengaluru Bulls 36:33
In a stellar performance as defender, Captain Manjeet Chhillar created history in PKL by making a record of scoring 11 defense points.
Though Puneri Paltan began the game well it soon was lagging behind the opposition. At half-time the scores were 12:21 where Bengaluru Bulls led by 9 points.
In the second half, Puneri Paltan turned the table. Bengaluru Bulls struggled to score points while Manjeet Chhillar showed heroics in capturing the raider’s one after the other.
Deepak Hooda & Ajay Thakur were the stars of Puneri Paltan victory in the raiding department. Ajay Thakur was declared the man-of-the-match & Deepak Hooda was adjudged the best raider as well as well as the man of the match.
Manjeet Chhillar, captain of Puneri Paltan said, “Today was a do-or-die match for us. We had no option but to fight it out with courage & conviction on the mat. I am really happy the way we performed as a team & highly appreciate the efforts of Ajay & Deepak. We look forward to give our best in the semi-finals.
