~Contributes to Yatra by providing free give aways to the devotees~
Chandigarh, 6th July, 2016: Finolex Industries Ltd., India’s largest PVC pipes manufacturer has stepped forward to celebrate the RathYatra with over 5 million devotees. Initiating a huge OOH campaign in 7 states across the country, the company distributes free giveaways to these devotees. Finolex Industries has been largely focusing on creating engaging platforms for its consumers especially in Tier II and Tier III markets. The campaign aims at reaching the masses by aiding and supporting them throughout their journey.
The company has organised for free giveaways across various locations of Gujarat, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, and Telangana. They also created special branded merchandise such as caps, shlok books, pocket calendars, T-shirts, bags to be distributed to pilgrims.
Pilgrimages in India attract huge crowds and are the perfect platforms for brands to engage with consumers due to the captive audience base. The RathYatra is touted as one of the country's largest annual festivals and attracts more than a million strong crowd, including audiences of all ages.
The key aspect of this campaign was the strategic planning of the on-ground activities which portrayed the traditional aspect of the festival whilst ensuring continuous support to all visitors. Finolex Industries employees volunteered and distributed the branded merchandise to devotees during the yatra at various locations.
Major serving/distribution of amenities was done on 6th July;the start day of Yatra. In Odisha, where this ceremony is one of the significant ones amongst the devotees, the company has collaborated with World News Odisha so that devotees who have not been able to participate can watch the yatra from their home.

In Ludhiana, Punjab, Finolex Industries Ltd, distributed T-shirts to the plumbers participating in Yatra. The company also arranged tempo/van for the devotees to rest.
Jagannath Rath Yatra is one of much- awaited Hindu festivals, and is celebrated every year on the 2nd day of the Shukla Paksha in the Asadh month. The 15 day festival is celebrated to commemorate the annual visit of the presiding deities of the Jagannath Puri temple to their Aunt’s house.
