Bangalore, 30th June 2016: Tata Docomo, one of the leading telecom player, has announced the appointment of Mr. Balaji Prakash as Consumer Business Unit (CBU) Head – Karnataka and Kerala Circle. As the CBU Head, Balaji would be responsible for overseeing company’s operations and business in the highly dynamic and growing 3G telecom markets of Karnataka and Kerala.
As a consummate professional, Balaji brings 18 years of rich experience and extensive knowledge across services and brands, especially an in-depth understanding of highly enterprising and aggressive markets. Prior to taking up the new role, Balaji was the CBU Head for Tamil Nadu, at Tata Teleservices.
On his new role, Balaji Prakash said, “Karnataka and Kerala are two Tata Docomo’s priority circles and we are working towards strengthening our existing products and services. We are constantly innovating to present great new value propositions to our customers. Balaji has previously served as the Business Head at FMCG conglomerate CavinKare. His experience also includes stints at some of the leading corporates across diverse industries, including Ford, TTK, Castrol and Lotte.
Balaji holds an MBA in Marketing from Bharathidasan Institute of Management; and has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Anna University, Chennai.
