The One Day National Conference on “The Role of State Private Universities in fulfilling the aspirations of the Stake Holders – Present and Future”
BANGALORE, June 3rd , 2016: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. In keeping with this profound vision, a One Day National Conference on “The Role of State Private Universities in fulfilling the aspirations of the Stake Holders – Present and Future” is being jointly structured and organized by Garden City University and Forum of Former Vice Chancellors of Karnataka State Universities. The National Conference will be inaugurated by Shri.T. B. Jayachandra, Hon’ble Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Higher Education, Government of Karnataka and Chairman KSHEC.
This National Conference which is a One day event is scheduled into four working sessions. Each working session would be occupied by a chairperson and four speakers. The seminar deliberations will be on:
• “Role of Private Universities in the development of higher Education”.
• “Stake holders’ perception in choosing a University”.
• “Employability-expectations from Industry / Potential employers”.
• “Credibility of Maintaining Higher Standards”.
Some of the acclaimed orators for the Conference are Dr. M. I. Savadatti, Former Vice-Chancellor, Mangalore University, Mangalore who will be chairing the discussion on “Role of Private Universities in the development of higher Education”, Sri. K. Jairaj, IAS, Trustee of BMSET & Former Additional Chief Secretary of Government of Karnataka, Bangalore, who will be discoursing the “Stake holders’ perception in choosing a University”. This is the significant focus of the conference and the expertise knowledge and awareness of the eminent speakers in this area would definitely be a colossal aid to accomplish the goal of the topic. Also, speakers like Dr. E. S. Dwarakadasa, Former Scientist, IISc & CEO and MD of Karnataka Hybrid Micro Devices Ltd., Dr. M. S. Subhas, Vice Chancellor of Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Bellari., Prof. K.E. Radhakrishna, Chief Functionary, Samudra Foundation, Bengaluru will be sharing their proficiency and expertise in different sessions. Chairperson like Dr. Sudhir W. Gavhane, Former Vice Chancellor of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik will be addressing the third session on the space where the emphasis is on the “Employability-expectations from Industry / Potential employers”. Dr. M. K. Surappa, Director Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar will then chair the session on “Credibility of Maintaining Higher Standards”.
At the end of the day, based on the prolonged deliberations, considerations and interactions, certain suggestions and recommendations will be filed down and later on presented in front of the policy makers.
