Each summer, The Dance Café takes an initiative of organizing a fun filled, joyful, thrilling summer workshop offering individuals an exposure to varied means of creative expression.
The name of the summer camp this year was “Giggle Wiz” which symbolizes live, laugh and learns. Every year The Dance Cafe makes an effort to create something unique and innovative hence this year “Giggle Wiz” summer camp was an initiative taken by them to bring out the artist in every child.

Kanika Sharma (an Artistic Director) follows a unique trend of hosting summer camp each year but with a totally different theme. This year the theme under “Giggle Wiz” summer camp was “Colours of India”, which basically depicted different cultures of India and its diversity through Music, Art, Theatre & Dance.Giggle Wiz catered to age group between 3 years to 16 years but it was a pleasant surprise to see adult participating and performing in the summer camp as well.
On this Sunday, 12th June, 2016, The Dance Cafe jubilated its summer camp finale at Showshaa theatre, Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. The Dance Café presented an Edu Entertainment show which was showcased by the students of Dance Café, which was specially designed to give them a deep understanding of the culture and festivals of India.This show was a culmination and integration of India as a colorful country showcasing its diversity and vibrant culture.
The evening commenced with a mesmerizing “Ganesh Vandana” performance by the Dance Café Crew who are professional dancers of the Dance Café Company.Followed by this wonderful performance, the senior instructor of Dance Café, Yuel Harisson was seen taking dance workshop for the audience, which made the audience learn some dance moves on foot tapping Bollywood numbers.
After this fun dance workshop,the students of Dance Café showed their perfection on guitar and keyboard. The performances given by the children were sensational and most of the audience was seen singing along with them,specially the last few minutes which was a jugalbandi between the student and the Instructor of Dance Café.
Following this melodic performance it was time for the little actors to showcase their dramatic skills. The students presented their act with such finesse and perfection that the audience were left spell bounded.
The theatre act was followed by numerous splendid dance performances. The students of the summer camp and the DC crew were giving stupendous performances one after the other, projecting cultures of Rajasthan, Punjab, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat and many more through Bollywood dance style. The audiences were seen enjoying with each and every dance performances.
The evening concluded with a very special and astounding dance performance by the artistic director Kanika Sharma, who is also the founder of Dance Café. Her performance was one of the best performances of the evening which also received a standing ovation by the audience.
With a total gathering of more than 250 viewer and 85 participants the Dance Café put up a really superb and memorable show yet, concluding another summer camp on a good note.
