With 2.5 million users on board already, fashion social network Roposo aims to take the figure to 8 million by end of this fiscal

Roposo, the country’s favourite fashion social network, has announced its target of achieving 8 million active users by the end of this fiscal from the current 2 million users. Since its launch in April 2015, Roposo has come a long way in cementing its position as the favourite social destination of fashion lovers by introducing innovative features periodically and coming up with new ways of engaging users.

Roposo already garners over 1 million screen views and posts a month and has clocked 2.5 million app installations so far. The platform had cinched 1 million downloads within 4 months of its app launch. It has raised a total funding of $21 million till date. It has recently raised $5 million from Bertelsmann India Investments recently to fuel its growth trajectory. With more than 200 celebrities, designers and stylists on its platform further enhancing engagement, the fashion social network is well on its way to achieving its target of an amplified user base.

Roposo’s many addictive features include the style check-in option that allows users to update their location along with their fashion posts. Geo-tagging enables other users to see what’s trending in which part of the country and helps them make their fashion choices in tune with all that’s in vogue. Users also love updating their style selfies on Roposo besides sharing photo reviews of various products for the benefit of the community. It allows users, both men and women, to search for and discover their unique sense of style through trend stories, reviews, DIYs, and style inspirations. Users can shop for new products and trends that are curated, personalised and updated every day. Roposo’s content creation has increased four-fold from new users, further demonstrating its steadily rising popularity in the country.

Roposo now has over 6,000 brands from across 550 stores. Based out of Gurgaon, Roposo was founded in July 2014 by three IIT Delhi alumni, Mayank Bhangadia, Avinash Saxena (ex-CTO of Zomato) and Kaushal Shubhank. Since then, Roposo’s journey has been dotted by many successes. Apart from the recent round of funding, its other investors include Tiger Global, India Quotient and Flipkart’s CEO Binny Bansal. The user generated content platform is growing at an explosive rate and is all set to hit its target of including 8 million active users in its ever-growing community of fashion aficionados.
