Chandigarh, 26 May, 2016: In the recently held award ceremony at the Digital Edge Conclave on Cyber Security 2016, Mr. Dinesh Kumar CIO, WaveInfratech has won the honor of ‘The Magnificent CIOs of India’.

The day-long event was attended by about 400 participants, including CIOs, CSCs and IT Heads from sectors including Power, Indian Post & Courier, FMCG, Garments & Leather, Government, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, Automotive Components Manufacturers, Cement, Real Estate and Dairy Industry. Other industries that were a part of the conclave were BFSI, with special focus on Urban Cooperative Banks and Transportation that included Indian Railways, Delhi Metro and DTC.
On receiving the award, Mr. Dinesh Kumar said, “I feel humbled to receive this accreditation at such a prestigious platform. In today’s world of digital transformation, it has become imperative to make our cyber-space more secure, and responsive to any cyber threats. Serving as a chief mentor for all IT-related initiatives at Wave Infratech, Mr. Kumar brings 44 years of industry experience and technical leadership skills. At Wave Infratech, along with various IT & communications initiatives, he has been instrumental in successful implementation of SAP, CRM, Digital Marketing and a leading technology initiative of ‘High-tech City’ concept.
Mr. Kumar did his B. Tech (Mech.) and MBA from FMS (DU) with Finance as his major and has been trained at IBM and IIM (A). SAP implementation in 2007 at NTPC was considered to be the largest and the most comprehensive implementation in Power sector. Chain Management and usage of Collaborative technologies has been his forte.
He is a receiver of many awards and accolades and is greatly involved in delivering lectures and sharing experiences at various National and International Forums.
