UAE, May 26, 2016 - The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has revealed details regarding the “Visiting Doctors Program,” set to be launched in June 2016. The initiative will provide patients with advisory, diagnostic and therapeutic services in the field of orthopedic surgery, interventional cardiology and neurosurgery. The program features the participation of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital in Ajman, and Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah and Fujairah Hospital.

Dr. Francois Ehkirch consultant orthopedic surgery (knee sports injuries) will be the visiting doctor at Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital from May 29 to June 2, 2016; Dr. Branko Beleslin consultant interventional cardiac disease will be the visiting doctor for Al Qasimi Hospital from June 19 to 23, 2016; and Dr. Andrew Davidson, a consultant neurosurgeon, will be assigned to Fujairah Hospital from June 19 to 23, 2016.



The Ministry remains committed towards integrating internationals medical standards within its program to provide quality health services to citizens and expatriates alike. This initiative also plays an active role in enhancing the medical training of doctors and technical personnel across the emirates as part of the national efforts to upgrade medical competencies, and ensure that patients will not have to travel abroad to receive treatment for their respective diseases.
