Mumbai, May 6, 2016: Housejoy organised an annual meet to recognise and reward their Service Providers (SP) who are achieving extraordinary doing extraordinarily in their categories. More than 140 SPs attended the Annual SP meet which recognized their efforts at making Housejoy the No.1 service provider in the country. The meet also featured workshops on motivation, behavioural & skill development. The real beneficiaries of the convenient home services revolution are the service providers whose lives have been transformed working with Housejoy.

Pradeep Waghmare who works in the Pest Control Category shared that his entire family is totally depended on Housejoy since he is able to get jobs every day and therefore earn more money for his family.


SP Zubair Ahmed who works in Carpentry shared that he used to go to hardware stores to look for work but now he is able to get jobs everyday through the Housejoy app which has improved his standard of living.

Vanita Kalsanwar is the only earning person in the family, and she stays with her father and mother. She is also a single mother to her son.

She says - “I have been working in different Salons for the last 14 years and used to work 8 to 9 hrs a day for 6 days a week. I would have very little time to spend with my son and my family, but I had no choice but to work so hard to earn around Rs 17,000. I never thought I could ever change this work pattern, but after joining Housejoy life has completely changed for me. Now I get time to spend at home and my son, I don’t have to work fixed hours in a day and I am earning much more than before.”

Housejoy also runs an RnR program for beauticians, with the objective to give them a sense of being part of a family and not just employee working on commission. Housejoy invests in lot of training which helps to nurture their soft and technical skills.
