Dr. Kedar M. Padte, renowned Gynaecologist from Goa highlighted,” Goa is a land of love and peace and Dr. Kaberi has chosen this place to motivate the upcoming youth to learn more about the advanced techniques in Infertility. I thank her for keeping it free of cost for the students of the GMC to attend CUPART’16 and gain a lot of exposure.”

While  other guests like Dr.Dhiraj Gada, Dr. P.C. Mahapatra and Dr. Yakouh Khalaf gave laurels to Dr. Kaberi  for her efforts, Dr. Kaberi Banerjee thanked the industry for all the support and encouraging her to deliver good academics through this programme, without which it would not have been possible.

Smt. Mridula Sinha welcomed everyone as the First Citizen of Goa and congratulated the organizing committee of CUPART 2016 as they have helped the society to change the notion when it comes to infertility. She also added, “Though the status of women has been improving from time to time, Women are still blamed if they are not able to give birth. In the Past, People used to think this as an act of God and ignored it, but it is found recently that there are many causes of infertility like job stress and the environmental conditions prevalent now.  Infertologists from different parts of India and even the World have come together during CUPART and popularise IVF as a solution to the couples who develop inferiority complex just because they can’t give birth to a child.”

The ceremony ended with a performance given by the special children from Chetna Charitable Trust, Curchorem. The 3 day conference will have discussions on Infertility which is still an enigma to us. The most advance technique gives a pregnancy rate of at best 50 – 60 % per attempt. Definitely there is more to be understood. Even the current knowledge and techniques are not being adequately and appropriately used in our patients. In these days the intention is to understand the concepts and technology better. There would be discovery of newer techniques and concepts that may benefit the patients.

After the resounding success of CUPART 2011 and 2013, we have decided to host CUPART 2016 in Goa says Dr. Kaberi Banerjee Organizing Chairperson and Medical Director Advance Fertility and Gynaecology Centre, New Delhi.
