Labourers from Brigade Group, Total Environment, Puravankara Projects among winners
Bangalore, May 1, 2016: This May Day turned out to be extra special for workers across projects of CREDAI member real estate development organizations. CREDAI Bengaluru organized a day of fun and frolic at the Mount Carmel College Grounds in Vasanthnagar.
The event saw over 800 labourers from various builders like Brigade Group, Puravankara Projects, Total Environment, Century Builders etc taking part in various games.
Speaking at the event, Mr.J C Sharma, President, CREDAI Bengaluru said, “Delivering quality homes to the customers is the motto of all developers. It is the labourers who help us in realizing that. The demand for quality labourers is increasing. So it is required that we give them good training.”
J C Sharma also exhorted the labourers to get away from addictions and vices like drinking and smoking since their children will emulate them. He advised them to give good education to their kids and increase their quality of living.
This initiative was set in motion as part of the CSR activities conducted by CREDAI Bengaluru. This is the 6th year that CREDAI Bengaluru is organizing fun activities for the labourers.
Manav Das, labourer, Total Environment, who won first prize in Men’s 100 meters race and 400 meters race said “I was practicing everyday. After my work I used to run near the site. I like running from childhood. Even in the school I used to participate in sports competitions”.
Saheb, labourer, Brigade Group, who won second prize in long jump said, “It was a good experience. All day we work hard but once in a while these kinds of events are a good break from our routine and give immense joy. In fact, it is fun for the entire family. Workers from all the other sites come here. So we make new friends too.”
