The team has been hard at work since Dec 2016, under the guidance of their mentors- Sunaina Sood and Asith Ahmed ,  perfecting their research project on Trash management, building and programming their autonomous LEGO robot, and living out the core values of FLL at RoboClub, a private STEM ( science, technology, engineering and mathematics ) institute in Delhi.

They won an invitation to the World Festival after winning the FLL Regional and National Championship held in Delhi in Feb 2016.

The theme of this year’s competition was TRASH TREK℠, which tasked the more than 230,000 students from nearly 80 countries around the world with discovering the hidden (or not-so-hidden) world of trash. Teams had to program their LEGO MINDSTORMS® robots to solve a number of missions on an obstacle course set on a thematic playing surface. Game missions included demolishing a building and salvaging valuable materials from the debris, converting organic material into fertilizer and reusing methane produced in a landfill to power a truck and/or factory.

“Our team really impressed the judges with their innovative robot design which could solve every mission on the playing field, their presentation and research skills and how well they cooperated with each other and their competitors. It’s a pleasure to see these young kids shine and bring India on the global map of robotics innovation “, says Suniana Sood, founder and Mentor at RoboClub, New Delhi.

Inspiring the NeXT Generation:  RoboClub, is a World-class Robotics Club in Delhi ,for young children 6 to 19 years old. Our mission is to get children excited to learn science, engineering and technology through Fun-Hi-Tech robotics and technology programs.
