One of the simplest sweet dish to make is the sweet moong sundal.Its also called green gram sundal, mung bean sundal, or pacha payaru sundal in Tamil. Moong sundal is a common sweet dish made during Navratri.
Ingredients :
1/2 cup Moong
1/3 cup Jaggery
A pinch of cardamom powder
3 tbsp Grated coconut
A pinch of salt
Method :
Soak the moong for atleast 6 hours. Now cook the moong in a pressure cooker. Drain the water and keep the moong aside.
Mix jaggery with a little water and melt it. Now heat the jaggery, add cardamom powder and salt.
Once the mixture comes to a boil add the cooked moong and mix it well.
Cook the moong sundal till all the water evaporates.
Now add the grated coconut to the moong sundal and mix it well.
Sweet Moong Sundal is ready to be served.
