BRIEF PROFILE OF MS. INSIYA PATANWALA.... Author – ESOTERICA...
FIFTEEN-year-old INSIYA PATANWALA, the Mumbai-based Xth standard student, is a published author with her debut fantasy fiction novel – ESOTERICA – The Worlds Connect.. This novel is first of the ESOTERICA series which has four parts. The second book of the series is complete and soon to be published during this summer.
At the age of 11, unlike other children of her age, she spend most of her time in her room putting ideas on a rough pad and with her mothers help writing and rewriting which took just two years to complete her first novel, while attending her school and daily studies got ESOTERICA published.
The soft spoken girl is fully involved in literary and creative art forms and has penned scores of – Poems from a tender age of 7. To her credit she also got published her well written poems in reputed journals. She also enjoys painting and penning down sketches during her spare time.
Her father Dr Khozem Patanwala is a well-known Medical Practitioner from Mumbai suburbs and mother Khadija Patanwala, renders her service as a Counsellor to the needy children as an hobby and her younger brother Hatim, many a time helps her after coming from school to put her jotted down diaries in order.
She has been very confident to address not only students of her age, but was at ease at the jam-packed Maharashtra College Auditorium, where she interacted with the college students and the faculty members without any hitch, she poured out her feelings which was well received by the degree college students.
Her first interactive session on December 5, 2015, was at the prestigious David Sassoon Library and Reading Room, which is 137 year old. Most of the distinguished audience were from the literary circles and lawyers and teachers.
She also had a lively session with the kids of Juhu School. She enjoys interacting with kids and also at social and national functions, where she is been invited to give a talk about her journey in her neighbourhood, which has inspired many youngsters, who were seen reading and putting ideas together.
