“Uma, Not-So-Perfect”, written by 14 year old author Yamini Prashanth was launched at Odyssey Book Store, Adyar.

Mr. R. Seshasayee, Chairman, Infosys Ltd. and Indusind Bank, Mrs. Shoba Raman, Principal, Vidya Mandir, Mrs. Saraswathy Rajagopalan, Executive Editor, Mango books and Mr. T.S. Ashwin, Director Odyssey were present at the launch. The book is illustrated by Ms. Soumya Menon.

Yamini Prashanth - the 14 year old author of "Mishti", a children's novel. Mishti was published by Unicorn Books and was launched in October, 2013. She wrote "mishti" when she was 11 years old. Mishti was reviewed by our honourable Late Ex-president, Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. Her second book, "Best of Granny stories", is a collection of 20 stories for 6 to 8 year old kids. Yamini is a voracious reader and her favourite authors are Shakespeare, Enid Blyton, Ruskin Bond and Rick Riordan. Yamini also became one of the youngest TEDx speakers of India. She spoke at TEDX at the Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai. She is a student of Tenth grade in Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Mylapore.
