· Sets up free e- charging stations; ties up with a leading electric two wheeler company
New Delhi, April 14, 2016: Tata Power Delhi Distribution recently installed Electric Charging Stations for electric two-wheelers in North and Northwest Delhi. This environment friendly initiative is expected to benefit over 10,000 electric two wheelers owners.
Post installation of the E-Charging Stations for consumers, Tata Power-DDL intends to take it further by collaborating with a leading two wheeler manufacturer to provide free rides to people on E-Scooters during the second phase of odd-even period (i.e. 15th to 30th April’16). In all, 20 such E-scooters will be provided for this purpose near Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station which will offer free rides to people including the employees of Tata Power-DDL within a radius of 4 KM. Tata Power-DDL will also provide parking space for these E-Scooters) inside Grid substation in night only during these 15 days.
Commenting upon the environment friendly initiative, Mr. Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, Tata Power-DDL, said, “As a responsible corporate, we are continually introducing new environment friendly initiatives. Installation of e- charging stations and free rides from metro stations on electric bikes are steps in that direction. I am confident the move will not only contribute towards lessening of air pollution in Delhi but also contribute towards easier commuting”.
Currently, Tata Power-DDL is running two E-Charging Stations at Hudson Lines and Pitampura.
