Chennai, April 19, 2016: Ola, India’s leading mobile app for transportation, today announced the launch of its premium category – ‘Prime’ in Chennai. Customers can now avail top rated drivers, hand-picked fleet of the best cars and ‘Auto-connect Wi-Fi’ on board, starting at just Rs. 12 per kilometer. The company is also offering complimentary Ola Prime rides to and from their meals to all Restaurant Week diners in Chennai, starting from April 22nd to May 1st, 2016.
Cabs on the Ola Prime category will include cars such as Toyota Innova, Mahindra Verito, Nissan Sunny, Toyota Etios and Maruti Suzuki Dzire. Ola is also offering complimentary Ola Prime rides.
With its launch in Chennai, Prime is now available in six cities in India viz. Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, including Kolkata and Hyderabad where too it was launched today.
Chennai is the second fastest growing market for Ola after Bangalore. The company has been constantly building and innovating for Chennai by bringing on-board multiple categories for its customers which encompasses Micro, Mini, Sedan, Prime, Auto-rickshaws and now Ola Prime. It also introduced its unique ‘Ola Boat’ service when the city was reeling under consistent heavy rainfalls last year.
