Mumbai, April 11, 2016: Understanding the importance of soft skills in different facets of professional lives, Groom India, in association with the Mumbai University, is organizing a 3-day workshop on personality enrichment and grooming techniques. The event is scheduled from April 22-24, 2016 at Mumbai University in Kalina. It will be presided over by Mr. Sanjay Deshmukh (Vice-Chancellor, Mumbai University) and Mr. Radhakrishnan Pillai (Director - Chanakya Institute of Public leadership, Dept of Philosophy, University of Mumbai).
The Indian Prime Minister has initiated the 'Skill India' campaign which aims to train over 40 crore people by 2022. Expressing emphasis on inter-personal skills, Rupeksha Jain, Partner, Perrsona Finishing Academy says, “We believe that soft skills form an imperative part of the skill-set every individual owns. Groom India is the need of the hour as these skills are often deciding factors in the pool of talent available today. Every individual representing India should be at par with its global counterparts, in terms of intellect, poise and confidence.”
Groom India workshops are a platform for all aspiring politicians and media personnel, students and entrepreneurs to learn about personality enrichment, self-motivation and public speaking among other attributes allowing self-regeneration. The workshops will witness stylists, image-building experts and life coaches engaging in topics namely criticality of interpersonal skills for young India, increasing use of technology either bringing the world closer or restricting one-to-one communication, importance of grooming skills in today’s competitive world etc.
