The entities share water conservation techniques and raise funds to help rural schools

Pune, 19th April, 2016: In an attempt to raise awareness regarding the rising issue of water scarcity in Maharashtra, Starkenn Sports Pvt Ltd partnered with Pune Riverside Round Table 105 (PRRT105) to conduct a cycling rally, “Pedal 3” in Pune. The cycling ride consisted of various levels- a slightly challenging 17km ride for regular cyclists, a 9km ride of moderate difficulty for fitness enthusiasts and a 5km fun ride for supporters of the cause. 80 members of the Riverside Round Table participated in this ride to extend their support to this cause while Starkenn provided 40 bikes for the same on a rent free basis.
Due to scarce rain and the advent of drought in the state, conserving water has become imperative. Through this awareness drive, PRRT105 and Giant Starkenn also hope to raise funds to provide water to the schools in villages with little to no access to water. Both entities work tirelessly towards the betterment of the environment and people. Through Pedal 3, the organizations will initiate the fundraising process hoping to collect close to Rs 3 lakh. Additionally, to help the children of drought affected farmers, PRRT105 will be tying up with NGO’s to sponsor their education.
