Gamesa secures 40 MW repeat wind order from ReNew Power

* The turnkey order entails 20 units of G97-2.0 MW T104 and will be commissioned by September 2016
* This is the fourth project that Gamesa will execute for ReNew Power

Chennai 19th April 2016: Gamesa India, the market leader in Indian renewable energy sector, has entered into an agreement with ReNew Power, a leading Independent Power Producer in India, for a 40 MW turnkey order consisting of 20 units of Gamesa’s custom made G97-2.0MW class S with tower height of 104m that will be commissioned in Ron district in Karnataka.

According to the contract, Gamesa will develop the entire infrastructure needed to operate the project including supply, erection & commissioning of 20 units of G97-2.0 MW class S wind turbines which are the custom designed for tapping low wind sites in India. Gamesa has also entered into a long term operations and maintenance agreement to ensure smooth functioning of the wind farm. The project will be commissioned by September this year. It is worthy to note that Gamesa has already commissioned over 140 MW of wind projects for ReNew Power across Maharashtra and Karnataka and this order will be the fourth order from ReNew Power.
