Emerald Height International, Indore and DAV Public School Bhubaneshwar bagged the title in Senior and Junior Category
~ Winners to get all-expenses paid trip to London Science Museum ~
Mumbai, April 21, 2016: Pidilite Industries Ltd, one of the leading companies in consumer products and specialty chemicals, under the aegis of its Arts and Stationery business, announced the winners of Fevicol Science Project Challenge. The event was held in Mumbai at DPS School Nerul. DAV Pubic school, Bhubaneshwar bagged the prize in junior category whereas Emerald Heights International was declared as a winner in the senior category. Both the projects were themed on ‘Sustainable city’
Fevicol Science Project Challenge encourages students to come up with creative ideas on topics relevant to everyday life, and craft 3D models of their interpretation of the solution. The challenge began in mid-Aug, 2015 and witnessed participation from over 1200 schools and 300,000 students from across the country. The overarching theme for the event this year was ‘Young Minds Creating Better Tomorrow’.
Six teams each from junior (5th to 7th std) and senior (8th to 10th std) categories qualified to the grand finale. The finalist teams presented their projects to the honorary judges, followed by a Q&A round. The selection of the winners was subject to the concept of the projects showcased and the responses given by the teams.

The panel of judges included Mr Ramesh Kumar Modi, ex-Scientific Officer at Bhabha Atomic research Center, experienced academicians Mrs Ragini Bhole, Mrs Vrinda Malse & Mrs Swati Ghosh, and Harun Robert, popularly known as Rob – eminent TV personality who has carved a niche for himself in world of craft.
Rob said, “I am delighted to have associated with Fevicol Science Project Challenge. I believe this is an ideal amalgamation of Science and Craft, and promotes “Learning by Crafting”. Apart from being felicitated with trophies, the winning team students, along with one parent of each kid, received a grand trip to the Science Museum in London.
