While announcing the offer Mr Sunil Gupta, Managing Director & CEO of Avis India said “We have seen a good growth in bookings by women in the recent past. This could be because of the various new security features introduced, especially for women. Therefore we decided to offer one more sweetener. Nowwhenever a women travels by an Avis Car we will give a discount of 25 percent”.
The offer will be valid throughout Avis India’s 50 conveniently located offices in 19 cities across the country. Avis India offers a range of cars including BMW 5 Series, Audi A8, Mercedes S& E Class as well as Toyota Atis, Innova and Etios.Avis’s services are fully compliant with local regulations, use IT-driven processes and are backed by safety features unmatched internationally.
Avis in India has the distinction of becoming the first car rental company to have dual verification of all chauffeurs – once through the police and a second time through an independent 3rd party agency. It also has the Avis Secure Desk which consists of a team of executives working 24×7 exclusively dedicated to not only responding to SOS calls or the pressing of the panic button but also to tracking the use of an Avis car by any lady traveler. “As per the standard protocol, the Avis Secure Team calls each lady travelers twice during each rental, first at the start and then at the end, to check if the traveler has reached her destination safely and if she was inconvenienced in any way” further added Mr Gupta.
