Bangalore, 23 April 2016: Shri. T. B. Jayachandra, Hon'ble Minister of Law and Higher Education, Government of Karnataka today inaugurated the fourth edition of Asia’s largest educational show at Bengaluru. Also present at the inauguration were Brand Guru Harish Bijoor, Dean of IIJNM Ms. Kanchan Kaur, senior journalists and professors of various media and design schools. The Edutainment Show which is being held on both Saturday and Sunday is a one-stop platform for information, education, entertainment and more importantly media convergence. The media and design fest that is being held across Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Guwahati will enable students to explore exciting career options in Media, Communication & Design Education and participate in informative workshops with media stalwarts.
Speaking on the inauguration of The Edutainment Show, the Hon'ble Minister for Higher Education said, "education today has grown beyond just bookish knowledge. The ever evolving job markets has created new opportunities for which not only theory but practical mode of education has become mandatory. Platforms such as The Edutainment Show has created a niche format which focuses on empowering the generation today by a combination of seminars, panel discussions and workshops.”
The festival will also feature renowned experts from the media, design and communication industry such as Prahlad Kakkar , Harish Bijoor, Nikhil Joshi, Manoviraj Khosla,who will share their experiences, provide a broadened outlook towards career possibilities as well as interact with existing and aspiring students of media, communication and design. The summit will also host a number of panel discussions presided by various industry bigwigs covering a wide range of themes such as communications, branding today & tomorrow, emerging trends in Indian journalism and how youths prepare themselves, growing importance of films in a shorter format and its relevance to the times we live in, building brands and managing crises through PR & Communication Management to name a few.

The current edition of the edutainment show will also feature Awards in Media Communication & Design at both national & regional levels across 40 categories some of which include Best Overall Design School, Best Regional Design School, Best Commercial & Fine Arts School, Best Photography School, Best Web Design School, Best Graphics & Animation school, Best Liberal Arts School, Best Indian Theatre & Acting School, Best Journalism Schools) distinguished.
